It’s important to note that the NDIS focuses on promoting choice and control, allowing individuals to determine the types of social and community activities they wish to engage in.

The level and duration of support provided are tailored to the individual’s needs and goals, fostering their active participation and inclusion within their communities.

01. Community access and participation
Support to access and participate in the community, including assistance with transportation, attending social activities, engaging in hobbies, and accessing community services.
02. Social skills development
Support to develop and enhance social skills, including communication, building relationships, and interacting with others in different social settings.
03. Community access and inclusion
Assistance with accessing community facilities, services, and events. This may involve support to attend social gatherings, clubs, community groups, recreational activities, or cultural events.
04. Support for hobbies and interests
Assistance in pursuing personal hobbies, interests, and recreational activities. This can include support for sports, arts and crafts, music, gardening, or any other activities the individual enjoys.
05. Education and training
Support to participate in educational programs, vocational training, or skill-building activities. This can involve assistance with enrolling in courses, attending classes, and accessing learning resources.
06. Volunteering and work experience
Support to engage in volunteer work or gain work experience. This may involve assistance with finding suitable opportunities, developing workplace skills, and building connections in the workforce.
07. Group activities and outings
Support to participate in group activities, outings, or day programs. This can include organised group events or outings that promote socialization, recreation, and community engagement.
08. Transportation assistance
Help with transportation arrangements to access social and community activities. This may involve support with public transport, coordinating accessible transport services, or assistance with travel planning.
09. Organising and attending appointments
We can help organise and attend appointments with individuals, ensuring that they have the support they need to attend medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other important appointments.
10. Shopping Support
We provide support for individuals with shopping, including assistance with shopping lists, navigating stores and loading and unloading groceries.
11. Organising and going on holidays
We support individuals to plan and go on holidays, including assistance with travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and itinerary planning.
