Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the Mental Health or Disability field
Current First Aid certificate and CPR Certificate
Full South Australian driver’s Licence
Minimum Certificate III in Disabililty
Certificate IV in Mental Health (Desirable)
Current NDIS worker screening check
Assist clients with Medication
Has own car with comprehensive insurance
Right to work in Australia
NDIS worker orientation module “Quality safety and you”

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, while respecting the dignity and privacy of each individual.

Implement individualised support plans, ensuring the goals and objectives are met.

Facilitate community engagement and social inclusion by organising and participating in recreational activities, outings, support with attending medical appointments and community events.

Support individuals in developing essential life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and money management.

Maintain accurate documentation of support provided and any significant observations or incidents.
